Keywords
Intro Screens, Onboarding Clarity, First-Time User Experience, Game Comprehension, Instruction Feedback
Research Goal
The goal of this research was to evaluate how informative and effective Galaxsys onboarding screens are for first-time users. The study aimed to assess players’ understanding of key gameplay features and the clarity of instructions prior to interaction. Participants were selected from users familiar with casino and gambling games, filtered further using targeted screening questions.
Methodology
A pilot usability test was conducted using remote moderated sessions via a structured flow. Participants viewed each onboarding screen for 15 seconds without interaction, followed by gameplay tasks and a post-test survey. The pilot involved 5 users per game, expanding to 10 for each upon validation.
Research Outcome
The onboarding screens were visually appealing but varied in how well they conveyed essential information. Users often needed more time or clearer guidance to understand gameplay features. The test highlighted opportunities to improve clarity, animation use, and structural consistency across games.
